Overview
DENTON was tasked with designing and delivering a new 15,000 SQFT office for a private technology client in Chiswick Park, London, over a 10-week period. The client sought a modern, employee-focused space that would elevate their workplace experience by integrating elements of the surrounding natural environment. Located within a collection of 12 buildings in a landscaped horseshoe park, the space was designed to promote well-being and offer easy access to amenities such as outdoor collaborative areas, coffee shops, a gym, and a pub.
Drawing inspiration from the textures, shapes, and colours of the local area, the design reflected both the nature around Chiswick Park and the client’s brand palette. Different areas of the office were created to serve distinct functions, from the more formal reception area to versatile staff spaces. These included internal meeting rooms—both formal and informal—as well as a large training facility with partitions and AV screens. The training area opens out onto a collaborative tea point, encouraging interaction with high benches, booths, and informal workspaces.

Solution
To support teamwork, the open-plan office was divided by functional tea points and informal collaboration zones, with phone pods, high-back sofas, and digital screens for presentations. Private offices and cellular spaces, such as a well-being room and mothering rooms, catered to management and individual needs.
The design highlighted high ceilings, with specific areas where ceiling tiles were removed to enhance the visual interest of collaboration spaces. Suspended acoustic products were integrated to manage noise and improve sound quality. Acoustics were a major focus, with treatments applied to walls and ceilings in all cellular spaces to ensure a comfortable environment.
Sustainability was a key aspect of the project, adhering to certain ASHRAE standards. The design incorporated efficient air quality management, VOC monitoring, low-pressure WRAS-approved sanitary ware, and A+ energy-rated appliances. All finishes and furniture used were environmentally certified, ensuring the client’s global sustainability objectives were met while creating a workspace that balances well-being, productivity, and environmental responsibility.
