A cohesive design for a Framework Agreement project

DENTON was appointed to detail and build the offices for Cellnex UK in Glasgow, Royal Leamington Spa and Manchester following the completion of the Reading office in 2021. DENTON worked closely with VAS Interior Spaces and Cushman & Wakefield for the duration of the projects.

Solution

Establishing a familiar design experience across multiple locations

Cellnex UK sites were given a consistent identity as part of the brief, ensuring a familiar experience for visitors and staff. This was realised following collaborative workshops with the Cellnex UK branding team and allowed the integration of 2D brand guidelines into the 3D interior scheme. Fabrics, finishes and textures were selected to give a subtle representation of the Cellnex UK brand whilst creating a contemporary environment fit for an innovative technology firm. While these offices are similar in design, they each have subtle differences to ensure they are sympathetic to the local area and the chosen building.

Furniture specification was key to the project, with designated ‘Flexible Collaboration Areas’ providing a focal point of each office. In these areas, the furniture pieces selected were agile, allowing various working environments to be created within the same space easily and quickly. The designs evolved during the collaborative workshop meetings where layout plans and finishes were tabled, often on-site. A coordinated design approach was important to ensure power & data provisions, air conditioning, lighting and acoustic designs all perform well with the different uses of the space.
