Rebranding and Functional Office Design

MUFG‘s new workspace provides a highly responsive & agile new working environment for their team in the North, reflecting their recent UK office acquisitions.

The design reflects MUFG’s natural and self-assured Global brand and aesthetic (formerly Link Group) while providing a fresh and energetic working environment for its business teams. A variety of adaptable work settings have been created to invigorate staff, boost morale, and ensure they feel inspired and valued in their new workspace.

Designed and detailed by Hermantes Studio, DENTON worked in close collaboration with the Design Team to deliver a well-crafted fitout on time, within budget and with an enjoyable process throughout.

Solution: Contemporary and Warm Design Elements

The project’s essence was to deliver high-quality, sustainable finishes that leave a striking first impression, both for visiting clients and employees, with open views of the Liverpool skyline and the magnificent Liver Building. The veneered wall coverings in the reception area create a warm and inviting welcome, fostering a relaxed atmosphere. The design includes flexible breakout spaces with feature curtains, providing designated soft seating areas for informal team meetings and agile working. Sustainability was a key focus, with the use of durable, long-lasting products ensuring quality at the heart of the office design.

Acoustic features were strategically integrated into the meeting room walls and ceilings within the touchdown spaces, enhancing the overall environment. Modern and contemporary pendant lighting highlights the reception and tea point areas, adding a colourful and vibrant touch to the office. The collaboration between Hermantes Studio’s design & delivery and the project team at DENTON was marked by excellent communication and a mutual passion for creating an outstanding commercial space.

The design solution for the MUFG office was a harmonious blend of contemporary and modern aesthetics. It emphasised quality and freshness, with warm tones and textures integrated throughout. The flooring features added another layer of sophistication and functionality to the space.
