FAQs
What should I expect during the on-site construction phase?
When a fit-out team is on-site, there are several things you can typically expect:
Site preparation: Before work can begin, the team will need to prepare the site. This might involve setting up barriers to keep the work area contained, installing temporary power and lighting, and arranging for the safe storage of tools and materials.
Work activities: Once the site is prepared, the team will begin work on the fit-out project. This might involve activities such as demolition, construction, electrical and mechanical installations, and finishing work such as painting and decorating.
Compliance with health and safety regulations: The team will be required to comply with all relevant health and safety regulations while on-site. This might involve wearing appropriate safety gear such as hard hats and safety boots, following proper safety procedures when using tools and equipment, and taking measures to minimise the risk of accidents or injuries. Coordination with other contractors: If there are other contractors or tradespeople involved in the fit-out project, the team will need to coordinate their activities to ensure that work progresses smoothly and there are no conflicts or delays.
Communication with the client: Throughout the course of the project, the team will likely need to communicate regularly with the client to provide updates on progress, discuss any issues or concerns, and seek input and approval on key decisions.
Site cleanliness and organisation: The team will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organised site, with tools and materials stored safely and in an orderly fashion.
When a fit-out team is on-site, you can expect them to be focused on completing the work to a high standard, while also prioritising safety, communication, and organisation.
